Check all your social networks in one place
For people who have problem reading all their messages from their e-mail, facebook, twitter, linkedin and other social media platform, you should check:
Inbox2 > desktop client for all your e-mail and social network accounts (windows only for now) but seems pretty interesting and well built.
Threadsy > online client that check the “Big Three” (Email, Facebook and Twitter) in one interface (you’ll find a video here since it’s currently in beta)
Otherinbox > online client that aggregate all of your e-mail (gmail, hotmail, yahoo, aol, others) in one place. It’s interesting but missing the social media aspect.
You can also find other such as Nutshellmail (that sends you a summary of your social network daily or weekly) or Fuser that makes an inbox of all your social networks but these last two are definitively less attractive.
Update: you can also check Knowmore which seems to be a good way to reduce noise of all your social network in one place (via techcrunch)
Great service to centralize all of your online content in one place http://flavors.me/

A few of the trends in journalism that are certainly relevant and that will be interesting to follow this year.
Video on why social marketing is important, where it’s heading and a few figures. Pretty impressive even if the video is a little too long.
Great parody of Twitter’s spokesman responding to common user complaints about the service
